Astore, Deosai, Kachura, Shigar
and Skardu valley (7-Days tour)

Astore Valley (el. 2,600 m (8,500 ft.) is located in Astore District in the Pakistani region of Gilgit-Baltistan. Astore Town is renowned for its versatile natural beauty and access to a number of world’s unique mountain attractions. This beautiful mountain town is located at an altitude of 2,600m. It ends in the Burzil Pass, a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4,100 m above the sea level. Deosai National Park is an alpine plateau of exceptional beauty and ecological value located in the western massif of the Himalayas, east of Nanga Parbat Peak and in close proximity to the Central Karakoram Range. The plateau, with an altitude of 3500 to 5200 m., is an area of 358,400 ha. of flat but undulating plains broken by gently rolling hills and surrounded on all sides by mountains. It forms a stark contrast to much of the surrounding landscape, which is made up of narrow valleys between steep mountains. Deosai National Park is located where two biogeographical provinces merge, in the Himalayan and Karakorum-Pamir highlands. As a result, it is a place of very rich biodiversity as species are channeled through the Karakorum range, the main crest of the Himalayas, Zanskar range (Trans-Himalaya), Ladakh range (Trans-Himalaya) and the Indus valley. Kachura is located 35 KMs from the center of Skardu city. This beautiful valley lies on the left bank of The Great Indus River. Kachura is basically dived into two small regions, The Upper and Lower Kachura. Both the Upper and Lower Kachura has their own beauty. The Shigar Valley is a valley in Baltistan in northern Pakistan that is watered by the Shigar River. The valley stretches about 170 km from Skardu to Askole and is the gateway to the high mountains of the Karakoram. The town of Shigar is the largest settlement in valley. Even though the Shigar Valley is a remote and largely inaccessible place, there are several villages in the valley. Skardu is a city in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, and serves as the capital of Skardu District. Skardu is located in the 10 kilometres wide by 40 kilometres long Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers at an altitude of nearly 2,500 metres (8,202 feet). The city is an important gateway to the eight-thousanders of the nearby Karakoram Mountain range. The town is located on the Indus river, which separates the Karakoram Range from the Himalayas.
